• Manual of Medical Compression Patients ~First Response - Vital signs: Temperature 37°C - 38°C. - Blood pressure: between 90/60 mm Hg and 120/80 mm Hg. - Heart rate: Bradycardia < 60 BPM; normal 60-100 BPM; tachycardia > 100 BPM. - Respiratory rate: 14-20 respirations per minute. • BMI Classification - BMI < 30: Normal. - BMI between 30 and 40: Overweight. - BMI > 40: Morbidly obese. • ASA Classification - ASA I: Normal healthy patient. - ASA II: Mild systemic disease (e.g., pregnant, social drinker, etc.). BMI between 30-40, mild lung disease, or controlled hypertension or diabetes. - ASA III: Severe systemic disease (e.g., BMI > 40, uncontrolled). End-stage renal disease (ESRD) with dialysis, neurological problems, more than 3 months post-myocardial infarction (MI), cerebrovascular accident (CVA), transient ischemic attack (TIA), coronary artery disease (CAD). Also includes HIV with CD4 cell count < 200. - ASA IV: Life-threatening condition; patient would not survive without surgery. - ASA V: Brain dead, organ donation. • Adult Life Support (Emergency Response, CPR, Defibrillation) - If no advanced airway: 30 compressions to 2 ventilations ratio. - Push norepinephrine at...
