USMLE series. So today we are talking about the sarcomere structure and its basic physiology. So the sarcomere is composed by one sarcomere, which is comprehended by two actins and one myosin. You can measure it from one Z line to another Z line. this line is comprehended. and the acting filament, which is the least strongest one, and the M-band is part of the myosin filament, which is the strongest one. The I band, which corresponds to the acting filament, and the H band, which corresponds to the myosin filament, both contract during myocyte contraction, that is. And you may also think, where are the acting and where are the myosin? Where do they bind in their bands? So actually, the acting fiber, it binds in the Z line, whereas the myosin fiber, it binds to the potencially to the Oh my goodness.
