-Sustainability: Meeting the needs of today without compromising the needs of the future. Contains three pillars: • Environmental - the ability to keep Earth’s natural resources in balance so that they are consumed at a rate which they can be replenished • Economic - the ability of humans across the planet to secure sources of livelihood (employment) and have access to financial resources they require. • Social - that universal human rights and basic necessities are attainable by all people, that all people can live in communities of health and dignity. -Prosperity: The flourishing, thriving, good fortune and successful social status. Prosperity often produces profuse wealth including factors which can be profusely wealthy in all degrees, such as happiness and health. -Collective identity: A person’s sense of belonging to a group. -Individual identity: How you express yourself in society. -Language viability: The ability of a language to live and thrive. -Official bilingualism: A term used in Canada to collectively describe the policies, constitutional provisions, and laws that ensure legal equality of English and French in the Parliament and courts of Canada, protect the linguisti...
