Absolutely 👍 here’s a simplified flashcard set — still complete enough for tests, but easier to memorise and shorter to write out. It keeps all the must-know info for Cystic Fibrosis lung disease (ideal for NCEA health science or early uni level). 🧠 CYSTIC FIBROSIS — LUNG DISEASE (Simplified Flashcards) A genetic disease that causes thick, sticky mucus in the lungs and other organs due to a faulty CFTR gene. Main problem → lung infections, mucus build-up, and breathing difficulty. Autosomal recessive — need two faulty CFTR genes (one from each parent). Carriers have no symptoms. CFTR gene on chromosome 7. Most common mutation: F508del (also written as ΔF508).
