If you look around you, at your city, the environment, the society, you will see what has changed in the past years. You will see the things that happen regularly and the ones that are happening right now. You just have to observe and you will notice important events that you may not know. To talk about all these, we use the present tenses. Let’s remember how to use them. 1 Do you remember their function? There are four present tenses: Present Simple, Present Perfect, Present Continuous and Present Perfect Continuous. In this lesson we will review the first three tenses and we will leave the last one for later. Present tenses talk about events in the present, but some of them can imply a past or a future meaning: Present Simple • For habits or routines: She takes care of the animals at the zoo every afternoon. • For states, feelings or opinions: I don’t agree with you.
