1. Four types of tissues + general function / location 1. Epithelial tissue – Function: covers and protects surfaces; absorbs, secretes. – Location: skin, lining of organs, glands. 2. Connective tissue – Function: supports, connects, stores energy, protects organs. – Location: bones, fat, blood, cartilage, tendons, ligaments. 3. Muscle tissue – Function: movement. – Location: muscles of body, heart, walls of organs. 4. Nervous tissue – Function: sends electrical signals, communication. – Location: brain, spinal cord, nerves. ⸻ 2.
