Genetic Variation: Differences among individuals in the composition of their genes or other DNA segments, refers to differences in DNA sequences among individuals within a population or species. These variations are the basis for diversity in traits (e.g., eye color, blood type, disease resistance). Cell Division: the process in reproduction and growth by which a cell divides to form daughter cells Punnet Square A chart that shows all the possible combinations of alleles that can result from a genetic cross, diagram that can be used to predict the genotype and phenotype combinations of a genetic cross Dominant Traits Example Curly Hair, Roll Toungue, Widow Peak, Brown Eyes Reccesive Traits Example Straight Hair, Blue Eyes, No dimples, Bloonde or Red Hair Chromatin: Clusters of DNA, RNA, and proteins that forms the chromosones found in cell in humans and other higher organism. Chromatid: one of two identical "sister" parts of a duplicated chromosome (osea 2 chromosome = 1 chromatid) Histones any of a group of basic proteins found in chromatin. Histones tails Histone tails are flexible, unstructured protein "tails" that extend from the core of histone proteins (H2A, H2B, H3, H4) in c...
