1. Human Rights Are for all people. Cannot be taken away. Examples: speak freely, vote, be safe. Protected by: CNDH (Mexico) UN, Amnesty International (world) 2. Social Movements Fight for justice and rights. Example: Mothers of Plaza de Mayo (Argentina) Feminism: Women’s rights – Olympe de Gouges Discrimination: Treating people badly for race, gender, religion. Institutional discrimination: When the law or government is unfair. 3. Diversity and Inclusion All people are different = diversity Everyone should be included = inclusion Respect others = no hate, no racism 4. Inequality and Quality of Life Some people have less (money, school, health). This is unfair = inequality. We must help people have better lives = justice. 5. Laws and Rule of Law Laws = rules for everyone. Rule of law = no one is above the law. Equality before the law = all are treated the same. Constitution = book of rights in Mexico. 6. Democracy and Participation People vote to choose leaders = democracy. You can: Vote (when you're 18) Help your community Give your opinion Important values: respect, justice, freedom. 7.
