Which layers of Earth does the biosphere lie between?
Apuntes
THE BIOSPHERE The biosphere is made up of all the living things on Earth. It lies between the lower part of the atmosphere, the hydrosphere, and the surface of the geosphere. It extends from great mountain ranges to deep oceanic trenches Relationships between living things and their interactions with the other layers of Earth cause changes in its composition, and organisms adapt to different environments. The geosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere make up a vast range of different climates and landscapes that are home to the diverse variety of living things in the biosphere. There are places on Earth, such as the tropical rainforest, which have a huge variety of species, while other places, such as the Arctic tundra, are not as diverse. There are densely populated areas (for example, coral reefs) and areas with scarce populations (such as mountain tops). The organisms that inhabit Earth are hugely diverse in shape and size. Some are small and have a simple structure, such as bacteria on the soil that can only be seen under a microscope. Others, such as whales or sequoias, are very large and complex.
