**MALE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM** • GONADS: TESTICLES Two testicles, held by the scrotum outside the abdomen. **Function:** • Form male gametes (sperm). • Secrete male sex hormones (androgens). **Morphology:** They are formed by seminiferous tubules, in whose walls the gametes are produced. **REPRODUCTIVE TRACT** **Epididymis:** Seminiferous tubules coiled above the testes where sperm cells mature. **Vas deferens:** Duct that stores sperm and connects the epididymis to the urethra. **Urethra:** A common duct with the urinary tract that releases urine and sperm to the outside. **COPULATORY ORGAN: PENIS** • Two cavernous bodies: they fill with blood and produce an erection. • One corpus spongiosum: surrounds the urethra and forms the glans, protected by the foreskin. **Accessory glands:** • Seminal vesicles: produce seminal fluid (nutritive). • Prostate: produces prostatic fluid (neutralizes vaginal acidity). • Cowper's glands: produce a lubricating fluid. **Morphology of the male reproductive system** *(Picture of the male reproductive system with labeled parts)* **Penile morphology** *(Dorsal and ventral views with labels for parts of the penis)* ...
