• Layers of the Atmosphere **Troposphere** It is the layer where weather occurs, and it is where we live and breathe. **Stratosphere** This is where most of the atmospheric ozone (O₃) is generated. **Mesosphere** Meteorites disintegrate here due to particle friction, producing shooting stars. --- **Thermosphere or Ionosphere** Radio and television waves used in telecommunications and information are transmitted through this layer. **Exosphere** This is where satellites and other human-made objects are located.
