Apuntes

• Subtopic: Characteristics of the Plant Kingdom The plant kingdom is composed of multicellular autotrophs. These organisms utilize sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide to perform photosynthesis. In Spanish, this process is described as "luz solar, agua y dióxido de carbono para la fotosíntesis." Through photosynthesis, plants produce glucose and oxygen. • Subtopic: Plant Cells Plant cells are eukaryotic, meaning they have a defined nucleus. They possess a rigid cell wall, a cell membrane, vacuoles, and chloroplasts. Chlorophyll, found in chloroplasts, is necessary for photosynthesis.
