How Geography Helps Us Understand Environmental Problems Geography is the science that studies Earth’s physical features and human societies. One way geography helps analyze deforestation is by studying how human activities modify natural landscapes. The GIS helps geographers to analyze spatial data like deforestation maps. Cultural landscapes show what humans had modified the natural environment. Natural landscapes are an environment that hasn’t been modified by humans. Tectonic landscapes is a type of natural landscapes but tectonic modified like when the earth moves and creates new things like volcanos, earthquakes zones. Globalization & Economic Geography Globalization connects countries through trades, technology, migration, and culture. Global markets help products to be produced by one country, assembled in another, and sold worldwide. This also helps us understand how the economic networks form and how they impact jobs, cities, transportation,etc. Globalization affects economic activities by increasing interconnected markets.
