Topographic survey Is the process of measuring and representing in layout or plant the characteristics of the surface of a certain terrain. In order to show what is in the area. One of the purpose of a topographical survey is to measure volume of soil for example in the road construction; it is also used on implantations of a building. We have three types of topographical survey: 1. Altimetric 2. Planimetric 3. Planialtimetric In altimetric we do the reading of elevation, relief of the area In planimetric we do the horizontal reading without some elevations (quota) Planialtimetric is the joint of altimetric and planimetric.
