• Intentions and Arrangements: Future Predictions and Scheduled Activities We use "will," "be going to," and the present continuous to make predictions about the future. We use "will" to make predictions. To make predictions, we normally say: *The prime minister will probably resign.* We use "be going to" to make predictions when we can already see evidence that something is going to happen. *The prime minister is probably going to resign.* The present simple is used for scheduled activities. *What time is the meeting?* *What time do you present your project tomorrow?* The manager will meet with this business later next week.
