Modal Verbs in the Past Might have / May have / Could have + Past Participle * EspeculaciĂłn sobre el pasado. * Ejemplo: She might have forgotten. Must have + Past Participle * Certeza sobre algo que ocurriĂł. * Ejemplo: They must have arrived. Can’t have / Couldn’t have + Past Participle * Certeza de que algo no ocurriĂł. * Ejemplo: He can’t have left already. Should have / Shouldn’t have + Past Participle * Arrepentimiento o crĂtica sobre el pasado. * Ejemplo: You should have studied more. Ought to have + Past Participle * Similar a should have. * Ejemplo: You ought to have called. Was/Were supposed to have + Infinitive * Algo que debĂa ocurrir pero no ocurriĂł. * Ejemplo: I was supposed to have been in Spain. Needn’t have + Past Participle * Algo no era necesario pero se hizo. * Ejemplo: You needn’t have bought me a present. Didn’t need to + Infinitive * Algo no era necesario y puede que no se haya hecho. * Ejemplo: I didn’t need to buy a ticket.
