Cosmic Evolution: From the Big Bang to Stars
What caused particles to become more stable in the early Universe?
Apuntes
• As a consequence of the cooling down of the Universe, due to its expansion, the particles became more stable and stopped transforming into energy. • About 380 000 years after the Big Bang, the Universe became transparent, this led to release the initial flash of light created during the Big Bang. The process of condensation of subatomic particles of matter into atoms of hydrogen, helium, and lithium, continued. • Clumps of gas collapsed enough to form the first stars and galaxies. Since then, the Universe continues to be in constant movement and evolution. BIG BANG THEORY A fully energy condensed universe exposed to high temperatures and pressures. Expansion of the concentrated energy. Inflation stage. Quarks and gluons were formed due to the drop of temperature. Protons and neutrons fused and formed the first atomic nucleus of hydrogen and helium. This nucleus fused with electrons to form the first atoms. Atoms grouped by gravity, the Universe became transparent and cosmic. Radiation emerged. Around areas of powerful gravitational attraction, matter assembled and formed nebula, stars, planets, and galaxies. The Universe is still expanding and going through the dark energy of...
