In 2015 leaders from all over the world met at the United Nations in New York. They made a very important promise to create a better world by the year 2030. This plan is called the 2030 Agenda and it contains 17 Sustainable Development Goals SDGs. These goals are an urgent call for action by all countriesdeveloped and developingin a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education reduce inequality and spur economic growth all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.
