Since communication is essential in many careers, especially in education, learning how to speak in front of others is a valuable experience. In fact, I believe that public speaking should be part of every student's academic preparation, because it helps us grow personally and professionally. First, public speaking helps students become more confident. Many people feel nervous when they speak in public; however, with practice, they can learn to control their fear. For instance, when we present a topic in class, we face our anxiety and improve our speaking abilities.
